Plus, Netflix finally confirms the official release date!
Aside from Bumblebee, Transformers fans have had very little to shout about in recent years. Despite having its fair share of supporters, the Michael Bay Transformers franchise has taken the series to new lows and fragmented the once great franchise and its fanbase. However, one glimmer of light in these dark times has been the upcoming Netflix trilogy Transformers: War For Cybertron: Siege.
The hotly anticipated trilogy revealed its debut trailer a few months ago and the response from fans was overwhelmingly positive. The series looked wonderfully reminiscent of the glorious Gen 1 series of our childhood and revealed a taste of what the war for Cybertron looked like. In the months that followed, fans have been waiting eagerly to see more from the show and eager to build hype for the trilogy, Netflix has today revealed an all-new thirty-second teaser which reveals more incredible footage. Check it out below:

Here’s the official synopsis:
“TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY: SIEGE begins in the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. The war that has torn apart their home planet of Cybertron is at a tipping point. Two leaders, Optimus Prime and Megatron, both want to save their world and unify their people, but only on their own terms. In an attempt to end the conflict, Megatron is forced to consider using the Allspark, the source of all life and power on Cybertron, to “reformat” the Autobots, thus “unifying” Cybertron. Outnumbered, outgunned, and under SIEGE, the battle-weary Autobots orchestrate a desperate series of counterstrikes on a mission that, if everything somehow goes right, will end with an unthinkable choice: kill their planet in order to save it.”
The talented voice cast includes Jake Foushee (Optimus Prime), Jason Marnocha (Megatron), Linsay Rousseau (Elita-1), Joe Zieja (Bumblebee), Frank Todaro (Starscream), Rafael Goldstein (Ratchet), Keith Silverstein (Jetfire), Todd Haberkorn (Shockwave, Red Alert), Edward Bosco (Ultra Magnus, Soundwave), Bill Rogers (Wheeljack), Sophia Isabella (Arcee), Brook Chalmers (Impactor), Shawn Hawkins (Mirage), Kaiser Johnson (Ironhide), Miles Luna (Teletraan I, Cliffjumper) and Mark Whitten (Sideswipe, Skywarp).
Okay, this trilogy looks exceptional, and I cannot wait to grab a bag of popcorn and charge into battle alongside Optimus Prime and the Autobots. And thankfully, we won’t have that long to wait. The teaser also revealed an official release date of July 30 – so the adventures of the Transformers are just over one month away from exploding onto our screens. Bring it on!
