Jon Favreau has written six of the eight episodes from The Mandalorian‘s second season
With the clock ticking down to the release of The Mandalorian: Season 2, Lucasfilm is finally pulling back the veil of secrecy and dropping a few tidbits of information about the series. Today’s tidbit of information relates to the episodic writer’s credits – and the list reveals the extent of Jon Favreau‘s involvement in the series.
As was the case with the première season, the bulk of season 2 has been written by Jon Favreau, with two episodes written by two of the franchise’s regular contributors.
According to the Writers Guild Of America, series creator Jon Favreau has penned six episodes of the eight episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2. Episode five has been written by Dave Filoni, while the seventh episode has been penned by Rick Famuyiwa.

Directors for the new season include Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed, and Robert Rodriguez. Showrunner Jon Favreau serves as executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson, with Karen Gilchrist serving as co-executive producer.
