The Witcher 006

Check out our first look at Yennefer and Princess Cirilla from Season 2

After a stretch of complete radio silence, details and images are beginning to emerge from the set of the upcoming second season of The Witcher. On Monday, we finally got our first look at a rather buff Henry Cavill in full Witcher garb, and today, we have been treated to a few new images of Princess Cirilla and Yennefer as they’ll appear in season 2. Check them out below:

As you can see from the images, Geralt’s assumption that Yennefer had perished at the end of season one was wholly inaccurate – but she appears to have fallen on hard times in season 2 as evidenced by the manacles around her wrists.

Here’s the official synopsis for Season 2:

Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.
