Universal’s iconic monster gets the Mondo treatment with glorious full-color and the classic black and white versions
Aside from Dracula, The Wolfman, The Mummy, and Frankenstein’s Monster, Universal’s iconic monster collection is the home to the iconic Gill-Man from The Creature From The Black Lagoon. The movie is regarded as one of the finest black and white monster movies of its time and although its subsequent sequels failed to live up to its brilliance, the original is still viewed as one of the horror genre’s most beloved movies.
Which makes this news all the more awesome!
The Creature From The Black Lagoon is getting an all-new figure from Mondo. The figure is based on the Gill-Man from the classic 1954 film. It will be available as a standard release, or as a black and white Silver Screen Variant. The 12″ tall figure comes complete with three interchangeable portraits, two sets of hands, two sets of feet, and a fossil hand accessory.
