Feast your eyes on LEGO‘s glorious Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters Afterlife
Even though the film has been pushed back several times over the past few months, there have been some seriously cool Ghostbusters Afterlife merchandise hitting the shelves. Reebok unveiled two pairs of exceptional sneakers in time for Halloween, and Hasbro has delivered some awesome collectibles ranging from action figures to Spengler’s Neutrona Wand.
Normally, these hot collectibles would be enough to have us dancing through the streets like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man rampaging through New York, but there’s more! LEGO has arrived to up the ante by unveiling its latest incarnation of the iconic Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters Afterlife. The 2352 piece set offers our best look at the weathered vehicle, and considering she’s been tucked away in a barn for thirty years – she’s looking pretty good for her age!
Here’s the official line:
“
“I love creating LEGO vehicles and having previously designed the LEGO James Bond Aston Martin DB5, I loved the challenge of working on the ECTO-1,” said LEGO designer Michael Psiaki. “This is the largest and most detailed version of this car that we have ever created, It is crammed full of authentic features and easter eggs, that I’m excited for builders to discover as they put this model together.”
As amazing as this set looks, it cannot compensate for the fact that the movie, which was initially set for release this summer – has been delayed until June 11, 2021. Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic takes no prisoners and the entire 2020 release calendar has been decimated as a result. We can only hope the situation stabilizes enough for us all to return to multiplexes in the next year where the superstars of the supernatural will be waiting.
I ain’t afraid of no ghosts!

The incredible Ecto-1 set will consist of 2352 pieces and will be released on November 15th for $199.99.
