Chris Evans is reportedly in talks to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and reprise his role as Captain America.
Despite reaffirming his desire to hang up his shield, Chris Evans is reportedly in talks to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain America.
UPDATE: Chris Evans has since cast doubt on this report by replying “news to me” which he posted on his official social media account. Â
There’s no word on what the project will be. But Deadline is reporting that it likely not be a solo movie for the First Avenger. Reports suggest that the role will be akin to that of Robert Downey Jr after Iron Man 3. A supporting cast role that could lead to a potential second project.

FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER
Could this potential return have any bearing on The Falcon And The Winter Soldier? The smart money would agree. Or perhaps his role could influence the storyline of War Machine’s Armor Wars? Only time will tell. But it just goes to show, nobody is really gone in the MCU.

Unlike Iron Man, Steve Rogers survived the events of Avengers Endgame. But with his time jump to the past, the character has now aged. Perhaps his role would be more suited to that of a mentor. One that could advise Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson during their Disney Plus shenanigans. Either way, the future of the MCU just got a welcome shot of Evans. And I am totally here for it.
