Disney has unveiled an all-new trailer for the upcoming animated adventure Raya And The Last Dragon. The film will release in selected theatres and on Disney+ Premier Access on March 5, and Disney is eager to get us excited. Check it out:
Disney’s synopsis reads: “Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans, and dragons lived together in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world—it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well.”
PRODUCTION
Raya And The Last Dragon features Star Wars stalwart, Kelly Marie Tran as Raya, and Awkwafina as the last dragon Sisu. The movie has had a torrid time on its way to the screen. Just as production got underway, the pandemic curtailed almost every aspect forcing Disney to switch to remote production. The crew continued to craft the movie from home. The voice cast also recorded their lines remotely, which is a monumental feat in these trying times. But for all intents and purposes, the proof is in the pudding. And this new trailer is very sweet indeed!
The movie will cost you $29.99 on Disney+ Premier Access and is available from March 5. Happy viewing.
