The Eighth Wonder of the World discovers the battle-ax in the latest teaser for Adam Wingard’s Godzilla vs Kong
After what has felt like an eternity, Godzilla vs Kong is finally ready to smash onto screens around the world. Adam Wingard’s monster-verse smackdown is just a few days away from release. And the teasers, trailers, and promotional images have set the stage for the biggest battle in cinema history.
Until now, the origins of Kong’s battle-ax have remained a mystery. The new action figures from S.H MonsterArts teased that the ax was comprised of one of Godzilla’s scales. But how the Eighth Wonder of the World came into possession of the mythical weapon remained a secret. But all that is about to change.
TEASERS
The latest batch of teasers for the movie are rolling in and they peeling back the layers of mystery; even revealing the origins of the ax. In the teaser, Kong is seen retrieving the ax from inside a cave on Skull Island. Possibly from within the series of hollow earth caves hidden beneath the surface. Sit back and press play and experience the teaser for yourself.
And if that isn’t enough to send you into a monster-verse delirium, a second teaser/featurette was released overnight which explores Godzilla’s attack. Director Adam Wingard talks us through Godzilla’s state of mind. As well as revealing the deep connection between Kong and the mysterious young girl.
Okay, the gloves are off, and the mystery is about to be revealed. Godzilla Vs Kong looks like it’s going to be an epic in every sense of the word. And with a visionary director like Adam Wingard in the director’s chair, who would bet against it hitting the high notes when it hits theatres and HBO Max on March 31st. UK fans can enjoy the movie on PVOD from April 1st.
