The WETA Workshop DeSaad statue from The Snyder Cut is coming to dominate your collection for the glory of Darkseid
“DeSaad, I fall before you. Let me make a plea to him that I may come home after I take this world in his name”
Now that fans have had the chance to unpack the brilliance of The Snyder Cut, new light has been cast over the super villains omitted from Joss Whedon’s cut. Namely the dastardly duo of Darkseid and his treacherous servant DeSaad.
Both villains were a major part of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. And in light of their impact on the events of the film, fans’ appetites for more adventures from Apokolips are more insatiable than ever. Thankfully, the team at Weta Workshop is waiting in the wings to save the day.
Last week, the studio unveiled two new statues from The Snyder Cut. First up was Henry Cavill’s reinvigorated Black Suit Superman. And second, was the ruler of Apokolips himself, Darkseid. Now, they are upping the ante by sharing 3D rendered images of their upcoming statue of DeSaad.
The DeSaad 1/4 scale polystone statue stands at stands over 21.5″ tall and features the treacherous villain perched atop a themed base. The base replicates the great hall of Apokolips where DeSaad spends the majority of his screen time.
Loyal acolyte and adviser to Darkseid, the twisted Apokoliptian priest DeSaad commands Steppenwolf during the attack upon Earth. Savoring the general’s desperate desire to please their shared master, DeSaad demands nothing less than complete success in Steppenwolf’s quest to reclaim and unite the lost Mother Boxes.
A notable supervillain from DC Comics, DeSaad is one of the most fearsome members of the New Gods race. He is the right-hand man to the tyrannical Apokoliptian ruler, Darkseid.

Much the same as the Darkseid and Superman statues before, the DeSaad statue looks incredible. The villain made his presence known in The Snyder Cut, so this statue is well deserved. Sadly, it is limited to just 500 pieces worldwide. And with a price tag of $799, this is going to be one of those special purchases. But when a statue looks this good, it’s a small price to pay!
Look for the statue to release in the first quarter of 2022. Pre-order yours now!
