The Heist

In this latest of the “Tales from Wild Space”, Emil Graf tells a story about Kabe the Chadra-Fan patron of Chalmu’s Spaceport Cantina. Kabe, needing credits to buy her favorite drink, blue milk, overhears a conversation where another patron is trying to hire someone to steal from an Imperial Cruiser. She decides to do the job and successfully outwits the Stormtroopers and officers.

This one is by Shane McCarthy and illustrated by Nicoletta Baldari. Baldari also illustrated the Paige and Rose short story and part of the Vader’s Castle miniseries. McCarthy also wrote “Tales of Villainy: The Hostage”.

A Tauntaun Tail

In this “Tale from Wildspace”, Emil Graf tells his droid companions about a very special Tauntuan.  Rebak has an extra long tail, and when a Rebel Soldier finds her injured, he takes her in. Later, she uses that tail to sweep Stormtroopers off their feet.

This story is by Jon Waterhouse and illustrated by Tony Fleecs. This is Waterhouse’s first story for Star Wars Adventures.

Majordomo, Major Problems

Another “Tale from Wildspace”. In this one, Bib Fortuna is trying to take a break, but Jabba won’t let him, even on his birthday.

This story is by Arie Kaplan and illustrated by Drew Moss. This is Arie Kaplan’s and Drew Moss’s first contributions to Star Wars Adventures.

I really enjoyed the stories set in the Rebellion era. They were fun and provided just enough action and adventure. However, this volume was a little heavy on the “Tales from Wildspace”.  Usually, there are two and this volume had three. I’m not always a fan of these “Tales”, but I like that they serve to teach a lesson.

As always, these stories are perfect for young fans who love graphic novels and are great family read together. While aimed at Younglings and Padawans, they can be enjoyed by fans of all ages.
