Robert Kirkman’s ultra-violent Invincible series has been renewed for another two seasons by Amazon Prime Video

Get ready for more ultra-violent superhero antics because Robert Kirkman’s Invincible has been renewed by Amazon Prime Video. But the fun doesn’t end there. The streamer has commissioned not one, but two more seasons of the hit animated series; meaning the superhero fun and frolics will remain a part of our entertainment watchlist for some time.

Synopsis: Mark Grayson is a normal teenager except for the fact that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and enters into his father’s tutelage.

Kirkman shared the news over Twitter after an excited phone call to Steven Yeun (Mark Grayson / Invincible).  And even he couldn’t hide his excitement. Check out the video below:

“I’m extremely thankful to Amazon for the support and dedication they’ve put behind Invincible,” Kirkman said in a statement. “The comic book is truly a love letter to a genre that Cory (Walker) and I grew up reading and loving, and it’s been a gratifying journey to watch our characters come to life again through the animated series. We’re beyond excited to continue this story for at least two more seasons.”

This is wonderful news. Prime Video has built an extensive catalog of top-quality entertainment of late. And the renewal of Invincible is nothing short of a statement of intent moving forward. And with so much quality programming heading our way in the coming months; Prime Video has established itself as a major player.
