The May Disney nuiMOs collection has arrived at ShopDisney and Darcie is on hand with her top fashion tips!
The start of another month means it’s time for our Disney nuiMOs fix. This month is celebrating all things Summer with the summer ensembles collection. Treat your nuiMOs to some cool looks for hot summer days, so they can enjoy some fun in the sun. This is a rather small collection consisting of only seven outfits and no new characters. But when collections are releasing every month a smaller collection here and there is less of a disappointment.
THE COLLECTION
Of the seven outfits, there are two dress looks. The first is a yellow gingham dress, pared with a straw-style hat and bag. This is possibly the best look of this collection. The bag has a stitched flower design, it looks like something you might buy in a high street store for a summer holiday. The dress is finished with lace trim for a look that is effortlessly cute. The second dress is a striped wrap-around style dress. The pastel pinks and blues work perfectly together without looking like a beach chair. The dress comes with iridescent sandals, which are cute. But the dress does look rather long, which runs the risk of it not looking great on your chosen nuiMO character.
SUMMER SHORTS
There are two short sets. The Hawaiian shirt set is super cute. A leaf-patterned co-ord that comes with red sliders and a blue striped beach towel. The shirt looks like it can be worn buttoned up or undone for that perfect beach look. The second is a very confusing look. It features a body, or swimsuit which is rather cute, it features a similar leaf pattern to the shirt set. It is pared with over elasticated waist grey shorts and grey sandals. Honestly, I think this is the worst outfit to date. The quality of the shorts looks awful and the whole thing looks thrown together.
SUMMER WARDROBE STAPLES
Of the final three outfits, there is a Ruffled shirt and skirt set. The skirt is a denim style – a summer wardrobe staple. The shirt works nicely with the shirt and the leopard print saddles. There is a dungaree set, that features a green pair of dungarees, a pink dye-tie shirt, and a pink visor. When all together it kind of looks like a fast-food server uniform which is unfortunate as it doesn’t really give me summer vibes. But the visor is pretty awesome. The final outfit is a Stripped shirt and jeans outfit, that features a denim style cap and fun trainers. There is nothing special about this look, however, there is something really simple and nice about it. The shirt especially feels very on-trend.
OVERALL
Overall, May’s summer collection is small with a few cute outfits. June’s collection is called “Explore Under the Stars” and will feature looks inspired by the great outdoors. Hopefully, there will be some more character released as well.
