Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been cast as Kraven The Hunter in Sony Pictures’ big-screen Marvel adventure
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is returning to the Marvel Universe. However, he won’t be reprising his role as Quicksilver in the MCU. Because we are hearing that the Godzilla star has signed on the dotted line to become Kraven The Hunter for Sony Pictures.
Following in the footsteps of Venom and Morbius; Kraven The Hunter becomes the latest Spider-Man villain to get his own standalone movie. And expands the legacy of the adjunct Sony Marvel Universe.

KRAVEN THE HUNTER
J.C. Chandor will direct the movie from a script by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk. With an ambitious release date of January 13, 2023, penciled into the release slate. Taylor-Johnson is rumored to have signed a multi-picture deal and is expected to feature in several projects over the next few years.
Of course, the actor is no stranger to the Marvel Universe. He previously starred in Avengers Age Of Ultron as Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver). The brother of Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff. But this will represent his first foray back into the comic book genre.
IN THE COMICS
Born Sergei Kravinoff, Kraven the Hunter is a Russian immigrant whose aristocratic family fled to America following the Russian Revolution. With intensive training and the help of a potion that gave him superhuman abilities, including increased strength, speed, reflexes, and enhanced senses, Kraven became a fearsome big-game hunter who tackled the most dangerous game on the planet, preferably with his bare hands. Kraven is also one of Spider-Man’s most famous villains.
Although Taylor-Johnson wouldn’t have been my first choice to play Kraven, I welcome his casting. His performances in Age of Ultron and Godzilla were impressive and I cannot wait to see him unleash some animalistic fury on Sony’s Marvel Universe.
So, what do you think of Aaron Taylor-Johnson slipping into the leopard skin of Kraven The Hunter? Leave a comment in the section below. We love hearing your feedback.
