Disney has dropped a new trailer and poster for Dwayne Johnson‘s Jungle Cruise rollercoaster ride!
Despite already having a packed summer slate, Disney has dropped an action-packed new trailer for Jungle Cruise. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt as would-be adventurers on a quest through the Amazon. The movie has been delayed several times before finally securing a release date of July 30.
DISNEY PLUS PREMIER ACCESS
Following the same strategy as Black Widow, Raya and the Last Dragon, and most recently, Cruella; the movie will release in cinemas and on Disney+ Premier Access on the same day. Although the house of mouse won’t be sticking to that approach for much longer. But that’s a discussion for another time, back to the ride of a lifetime. Strap in and check out this awesome new trailer:
Okay, the original trailers teased us with an exciting ride, but this new trailer doubles down on that and delivers on the spectacle. The movie, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra oozes the essence of Pirates of the Caribbean and looks to be an absolute blast. Although, I’m not sold on The Rock’s tight outfit. But that’s me being picky!
In the film, a riverboat captain named Frank (Dwayne Johnson) takes a scientist (Emily Blunt) and her brother (Jack Whitehall) on a mission into a jungle to find the Tree of Life which is believed to possess healing powers. All the while the trio must fight against dangerous wild animals and a competing German expedition.
NEW POSTER
If the trailer isn’t enough to have you booking your seat on Johnson’s boat, Disney also dropped a stunning new poster for the movie. And it’s a doozy. It has all the hallmarks of the classic Indiana Jones posters and accentuates the trailer perfectly. Check it out:
I don’t know about you, but I am totally on board for this ride. Jungle Cruise looks like pure escapism, and given the pandemic’s far-reaching impact, a little escapism is just what we need right now.
As well as The Rock, Emily Blunt, and Jack Whitehall, the film also stars Edgar Ramirez, Jesse Plemons, Paul Giamatti, Andy Nyman, Quim Gutierrez, Dani Rovira, Veronica Falcon, and Simone Lockhart.
Disney’s Jungle Cruise sets sail from July 30 in cinemas and on Disney+ Premier Access.

If he’s not in the cinema he’s probably streaming something equally awesome!
