Comic-Con@Home | The High Republic Goes Dark In Wave 3
Look out Star Wars fans. The High Republic has announced dark tidings for its next wave of new titles!
With Wave 2 almost over, The High Republic initiative has announced Wave 3 at today’s Comic-Con@Home. The Lucasfilm Publishing panel sent ripples of delight throughout the galaxy and unveiled a wealth of new titles. What’s more, Wave 3 comes with the foreboding title ‘The High Republic Goes Dark’. Read on for the titles revealed and the name’s of the authors tasked with bringing the Dark Side to The High Republic.
Claudia Gray will be penning an adult novel called The Fallen Star set to be released tentatively in 2022. Justina Ireland will be producing a middle-grade book called Mission to Disaster and her track record is amazing so far, so I am looking forward to this one the most. Daniel Jose Older has a YA called Midnight Horizon. And lastly, Charles Soule will cover a comic series titled The Eye of the Storm.
In two 30-page issues landing in January, Soule promised to expand on the “very complicated backstory” of the Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro. “He’s absolutely terrifying. He’s charming in a way…you’ll meet him and he’ll talk to you and you’ll have a good time. Maybe he’ll buy you a beer. A space beer, I guess. But then, you know, the minute you leave the room, his face goes blank. It’s all just a mask.”
