Darcie embraces Urban Decay X’s sensational new make-up line inspired by Marvel Studios’ Eternals

A brand new exclusive makeup collection has been released by the fantastic brand Urban Decay! Urban Decay has done a few movie/TV collaborations over the years such as Pulp Fiction, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Game of Thrones. But this time they have collaborated with none other than Marvel Studios to bring us a bold and wonderous Eternals collection! Urban Decay may only do occasional themed collections but when they do, they are special and certainly something to be excited about.

The collection features an eyeshadow palette, a highlighter in two shades, an eye pencil n four shades, a heavy metal glitter gel in two shades, and a lipstick in four shades. This is one impressive collection. Urban Decay is a cruelty-free, vegan brand. So let’s take a look at the collection!

Urban Decay Eternals Collection

The Eyeshadow Palette

Let’s start with the most impressive item of the collection! The eyeshadow palette features 15 shades encased in some of the most beautiful packaging I have ever seen. When you open the palette you are met with a 3D image of the Eternal symbols with the words ‘Inspire greatness across the universe’. The background is an image of the galaxy, blue with stars. the symbols themselves gold. Pull the image up to reveal the 15 highly pigmented eyeshadow shades. The shades are inspired ‘by the strength and grace of the immortal warriors known as the Eternals’. The shades range from Nudes and golds to blues and greens. They are buildable, can be used wet or dry to create versatile looks. Go to the Urban Decay website for some pro-tips on using their products to get the best looks.

Highlighters and Glitter Gel

The highlight comes in a triangle-shaped package, with the same wording as the eyeshadow palette. There are two shades: Cuneirune a bonze shade and Uni-mind a gold shade. These highlighters can last up to eight hours for a warm glow, that flatters a variety of skin tones. The heavy metal glitter gels are super-concentrated, reflective formulas that can be used on both face and body. There are two shades: Eternal Starship an opalescent white with blue, lilac, and violet glitter, and Immortal Gold a peachy shade with reflective gold glitter. These are water-based and fast drying for an eternal look.

Eye Pencil

Next, we have the 24 7 eye pencil. This pencil comes in 4 shades! Cosmic Speed – black with glitter finish. Cosmic Energy – Gold with gold micro-sparkle, Cosmic Mission – a purple with violet and fuchsia sparkle. And finally, Cosmic Eternal – blue with blue and purple micro-sparkle. These long-wear liners are perfect for bold, all-day-to-night looks.

Lip Eclipse

To round out the range we have four limited-edition shade lipsticks. Two of which are super-pigmented and creamy. The other two are semi-sheer shades, perfect for building or layering over other shades.  The great thing about these lipsticks is the infusion of coco-butter, jojoba, and avocado oils to nourish the lips whilst also giving a fantastic finish. The shades: Agility – deep red,  Ancient – warm nude.  Sheer shades: Knowledge – deep berry with multicolor micro-glitter and Brilliance – cooper with the micro-glitter. Knowledge has to be my favorite shade!

Overall

Urban Decay x Eternals is a must-have collection. Full of highly pigmented shades, for long wear bold looks. I have the Alice Through the Looking Glass palette and the colors are still as pigmented and versatile to this day, so the Urban Decay collaborations are certainly worth the investment. This collection gets me even more excited for the release of Eternals on the 5th of November 2021. And what’s more, if you spend £60 on Urban Decay you get a free gift!!
