We are just under two months away from the return of The Witcher on Netflix and the streamer is eager to ensure we are suitably excited. Alongside a glorious new poster, we have a new trailer to sink our teeth into. And it promises to unleash the beasts, raise the stakes, and find Henry Cavill‘s Geralt Of Rivia at war! SYNOPSIS
“Season two will follow Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia who, convinced that Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) died at the gruesome Battle of Sodden, seeks to bring Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, Geralt must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”

Wow. Season 2 looks like one helluva rollercoaster ride, and I am totally here for it. The first season was immersive, fun, and visually stunning. But it was blighted by a constant time-shifting phenomenon which, at times, made it incoherent. But thankfully, The Witcher: Season 2 has dropped that approach and will take us on a whirlwind adventure chocked full of mythology, mystery, and monsters. Bring it on!
