Look out DC Universe because the new character posters from HBO Max’s Peacemaker series have arrived!
HBO Max is pouring fuel into the hype train for the upcoming Peacemaker series by dropping some juicy new character posters. The DC series will release on the streamer this January. And eager to ensure we are all suitably pumped, HBO has given us our first look at the cast of the series. And all on glossy one-sheets!
These awesome new posters were released via a series of social media channels across the world, hence the alternate languages used. But that doesn’t take anything away from the splendor. First up is John Cena who will be reprising his role from James Gunn’s divisive DC flick The Suicide Squad. Check out his character poster below:
SUPPORTING CAST
Joining Cena in the DC hot seat is Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland is back as Emilia Harcourt; Steve Agee returns as John Economos, Danielle Brooks makes her debut as Leota Adebayo, and Chukwudi Iwuji becomes a series regular as Clemson Murn. And of course, nobody can forget Peacemaker’s American Bald Eagle Eagly. Check out their posters below:
POSTERS
These new posters are glorious. And although I wasn’t the biggest fan of The Suicide Squad, I am eager to see what a standalone Peacemaker series can bring to the greater DC Universe. I only hope the series improves upon what I thought was an overly violent, gore-filled character assassination of many of DC’s best villains. And that’s me being polite.
RELEASE
Peacemaker will release on HBO Max on January 13. Sadly, as of press time, we have no UK release date to share. But with Sky currently enjoying a lucrative partnership with HBO, we expect the series to land there sometime in the new year.
