Hawkeye is up there as the best finale for an MCU series with WandaVision. It’s an action-packed and emotionally satisfying conclusion.

Hawkeye is coming to an end this week, just in time for Christmas. Its title is very fitting – ‘So This Is Christmas?’ This series has been fantastic, so is this conclusion satisfying?

The finale delivers in every way. It has action, jokes and it definitely makes you cry. I think it’s up there as the best finale for an MCU series with WandaVision. I’m so grateful for this series because it allowed us to spend more time with Clint Barton and get an in-depth look at the character. Plus, we were introduced to Kate Bishop. Kate and Clint form a fantastic dynamic duo. And this episode gives us even more action scenes with them working together. This time, they are wearing their costumes teased in the posters and the trailers. They look great in these. I love the nod to the comics.

The finale ties all its loose ends as well while opening doors for future projects. As you know, Maya Lopez is getting her own series Echo. And, I do think there is potential to see Jacques Duquesne again. Especially since Tony Dalton is portraying him, that’s a great casting.

Last week’s episode ended with a pretty good surprise. Vincent D’Onofrio returned as Kingpin/Wilson Fisk. He played the character in the Netflix Daredevil series and the MCU brought him back for the role. Honestly, it’s a perfect casting so it makes sense to re-use him in the MCU.

Throughout the series, we knew the big boss was coming but we didn’t get a proper introduction until the finale. I think it’s a great idea. It all leads to this moment. And it doesn’t disappoint. Vincent D’Onofrio is awesome as Wilson Fisk. When he is there, you know he is the big threat.

Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, and Florence Pugh all seriously deserve an Emmy nomination for their performance in this series. They really understand their characters and you can feel it on screen. With this series, they made me laugh, they made me cry and they made me cheer up.

VERDICT

Hawkeye is up there as the best finale for an MCU series with WandaVision. It’s an action-packed and emotionally satisfying conclusion. I can’t wait to see Clint and Kate work together again.
