The official release date for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been revealed. Seek out new lifeforms and new civilizations on May 5th
The moorings are retracted and the Enterprise is ready to leave drydock because Star Trek: Strange New Worlds finally has a release date. After what has seemed like an eternity, the continuing voyages of the starship Enterprise will get underway on May 5. If that isn’t enough to have you reaching for your red shirt, Pike, Spock, and Number One have already been renewed for a SECOND season.
Despite not airing a single episode, Paramount+ is so confident in the series that they have already greenlit more adventures. Which will be music to the ears of Trek fans everywhere.

U.S & CANADA RELEASE
StarTrek.com confirms that Strange New Worlds will get underway on May 5 exclusively on Paramount+ in the US. But the streamer also notes that the series will premiere on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and Stream on Crave in Canada. But, if you’re an International viewer, the wait for news is going to be frustrating.
Sadly, due to the slow rollout of the Paramount+ platform across the globe, the series remains in limbo outside of the U.S. Much in the same way as Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 which is currently airing on the ‘free to watch’ Pluto TV app in the UK due to the absence of Paramount+. And that is an alarming trend.
INTERNATIONAL RELEASE
Although this information is frustrating, the official website does go on to say that news about International distribution will be confirmed soon. So, hopefully, we’ll have some positive news in the next few weeks. Potentially at the upcoming ViacomCBS Investor event. But until then, fans outside of the U.S will continue to struggle to enjoy the content they love. Which is a shame given the volume of exciting Star Trek projects coming our way in the next few months.
Let’s hope Paramount+ can address the International rollout sooner rather than later so we can join in the fun. And with the clock ticking down to release; let’s hope a teaser trailer for the series emerges from warp speed soon. Of course, we’ll keep you updated on the latest developments as they emerge. You’ll never miss a thing with Future Of The Force.
