Never get lost in Star Wars history again thanks to Star Wars: Timelines; a wonderful new visual guide from DK Books
Revealed during its week’s episode of This Week In Star Wars, DK Books is bringing us Star Wars: Timelines. An incredibly rich new visual guide cataloging the entire timeline of the galaxy far, far away. This unmissable opus comes to us from Kristin Baver, Jason Fry; Cole Horton, Amy Richau, and Clayton Sandell. And it will catalog every major historical event from the dawn of The High Republic to the fall of Emperor Palpatine’s Sith cultists. And if that isn’t enough to have you dancing around like a Wookiee at a Porg barbecue; the book will encompass the Skywalker saga films, live-action series; animation, books and comics, games, and more.
COLE HORTON
“The painstaking process for researching and writing Star Wars: Timelines has been unlike any other book I’ve written.” Cole Horton told starwars.com. “With so many stories told over the decades and through many mediums, these timelines are an ideal way to illustrate the connected, epic nature of Star Wars storytelling.”
KRISTIN BAVER
“I first gained a real appreciation for the way events across all kinds of Star Wars storytelling intertwine when I was writing Skywalker: A Family at War in 2020, but that was just scratching the surface compared to this project,” added Kristin Baver. “It’s a thrill to be working with such an accomplished crew of writers to take on this Summa-verminoth-sized job. And it’s opened my eyes to so many of the intricacies that make these stories come alive and give the galaxy that expansive, lived-in feel.”
RELEASE
It remains to be seen whether this volume will be regularly updated like the “Art Of” series or whether it will be a standalone affair. But either way, this book is an amazing resource for navigating the ever-changing timelines of the Star Wars galaxy. And that in itself makes this incredible opus a must-have for all fans.
The book will release on November 3 and is available to pre-order now.
