“This new episode is a turning point in the series with plenty of revelations. Tokyo 24th Ward continues to be an entertaining series.”
It’s Wednesday, so this means it’s time for the new episode of Tokyo 24th Ward.
NEW DILEMMA
Last week’s episode was all about character development for Shuta. This week, we are back into the heart of the story. Our heroes receive another phone call from “Asumi.” As usual, she presents them with a new dilemma. Obviously, Shuta who is a hero wants to avoid the two visions from happening. He just wants to save everyone. And that’s the right thing to do, he cares about people. It’s what makes this character so endearing. He’s not going to leave anyone behind even if it’s his enemy.
However, it’s quite different with Ran and Koki. Firstly, they still don’t talk to each other so they still remain on their own and are not a team. Secondly, Koki just cares about his work for the KANAE System. Thus he is ready to sacrifice people if needs be. I do have trouble to care about him. He is just not a nice character. On the other hand, I do appreciate Ran. Not as much as Shuta, but still Ran is a good character. He cares about the 24th ward. So he wants to protect his neighborhood. That means uncovering the truth about the KANAE system among other things.
REVELATIONS
Beyond the new dilemma, this episode is an episode of revelations. Indeed, the identity of Carneades and their motives are revealed. It’s definitely not what I expected for the motives. Which is a good thing because it means this show can surprise us. Furthermore, this episode also reveals important information about the KANAE System. And, it’s a turning point in the series. I’m excited to see where the show is going next. I do think the final episodes are going to be quite action-packed!
