The MCU is at its best when it’s introducing something new. And Moon Knight just might be one of the best things introduced to this franchise so far
For years now I’ve heard about Moon Knight (read our review) because of its avid comic enthusiasts. And it’s always looked fascinating but I never thought we’d get an actual show or movie about it. Now here we are with Moon Knight making its premiere today and I am blown away.
This is a character that could be hard to bring to life. And yet Marvel Studios has another fantastic installment on their hands. Oscar Isaac is at his best yet, portraying Steven Grant/Marc Spector in a way where I was invested in the character as he experienced this incredibly trippy rollercoaster ride. Ethan Hawke is incredible in this role. He’s partly terrifying, part mysterious, and he’s perfect for this role. I don’t even know much about Arthur Harrow and I’m already utterly fascinated by this character.

PREMIERE
This premiere has it all; way more humor than I expected, a great action scene that felt different and exciting, and new mythology to the MCU that feels like we honestly just stepped into a whole new world. Egyptian mythology is my favorite mythology and to get a story centered around these gods and goddesses provides so much potential looking ahead.

The MCU is at its best when it’s introducing something new and this just might be one of the best things introduced to this franchise so far. I’m locked into the ride and I’m ready to see where it will take me.
Moon Knight is now streaming on Disney Plus.
