Star Ace Toys has unveiled a glorious new statue of the Skeleton Army from Ray Harryhausen’s Jason And The Argonauts
Beware the Children Of The Hydra’s Teeth because Star Ace Toys has announced a new statue of the Skeleton Army from Ray Harryhausen’s Jason And The Argonauts. In the film, Aeetes summoned the minions to prevent Jason from stealing the golden fleece. What followed was a sword fight for the ages with our intrepid hero fighting off an army of stop motion skeletons. The sequence itself was breathtaking. And although it only took up a few minutes of the movie, it took Ray Harryhausen weeks to animate. And his brilliance has now been recreated by Star Ace Toys.
The 12.5″ statue features the skeleton holding a sword and shield. But there’s plenty more to get excited about. That’s because the statue comes with a gorgeous themed base that replicates the moment the creature emerges from the earth. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Star Ace has confirmed that a deluxe version is also heading our way.
