“The penultimate episode of Salaryman’s Club is exceptional and as intense as it gets. This series transports you into the heart of the game.”
It’s time for a new episode Salaryman’s Club. However, this is the penultimate episode so this means next week is the season or series finale. I do hope we will get a second season because this series is way too good to end now.
Sunlight has reached the finals of the S/J league and they are facing the Mitsuhoshi team. Obviously, this is not an easy challenge. The finals are three matches – two doubles and one single. The Saeki brothers’ match is entirely skipped as last week, their match was one of the focus of the episode. But the results of their match here just proves how much they have evolved since the beginning of the series.
The main focus of the episode is Usuyama’s match. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! I love how this series transports you into the heart of the game. Indeed, it makes you feel for the characters. You never know what the outcome of the match is going to be. It is a surprise so you are really committed to the game. When a character seem to loose, sometimes there can be a reversal and he ends up winning. Or when he seems to win, he then ends up loosing. The intensity of the game is off the charts.
The second part of the episode focuses on the final match. Miyazumi and Shiratori are facing off Izumo and Kirishima. We don’t see the whole match, we only see the beginning of it. After all, there is still an episode left, so we will see the rest of it next week for the big finale.
One thing is sure, this match is not going to be an easy victory. Undoubtedly, this is Miyazumi and Shiratori’s biggest match. Firstly, a lot is at stake here. Indeed, if they loose Miyazumi has to leave the badminton team. This would be a catastrophe both for the team and Shiratori. Secondly, they are facing off Kirishima who is the best in badminton. So, this is THE MATCH. And what we see is really intense. Obviously, the episode end in a cliffhanger. It is a big one. The wait for the finale is going to be unbearable!
