Get your green fingers ready for action because The Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour is adding Professor Sprout’s Greenhouse to the exhibition this summer!
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is growing, quite literally. The tour which is currently celebrating its tenth anniversary has been continually expanding. The attraction is unique to the UK and offers visitors the chance to get up close to authentic sets. Discover the magic behind special effects and explore the behind-the-scenes secrets of the Harry Potter film series. And now they have added a brand new set for fans to explore: Professor Sprout’s Greenhouse!
PROFESSOR SPROUT
The greenhouses were seen throughout the film series and multiple memorable scenes took place surrounded by exotic and magical planets. It’s now finally time for fans to explore the location used for Herbology lessons. The set has been rebuilt by the original Harry Potter filmmakers and will be set during the scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – the one where Neville faints. Guests will be able to see all sorts of plants in the greenhouse including the Venomous Tentacula which is also featured in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Herbology knowledge up to scratch?
Step into Professor Sprout’s greenhouse for the very first time this July!
Be warned, the cry of a Mandrake can be fatal to any person who hears it…#Revelio pic.twitter.com/U8WgPTRDXa

If that isn’t exciting enough, the greenhouse will be a permanent addition to the studio tour and will open as part of a brand-new feature: Mandrakes and Magical Creatures. Which opens on the 1st July 2022. As part of the feature, fans will be able to have a go at pulling out a potted Mandrake and The Great Hall set will be dressed as we see it in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban complete with frog choir.
EXPANSION
But that’s not all! The exterior backlot is expanding as well. The new additions to the space will include the fountain from the Hogwarts courtyard and a 1:3 scale version of the Weasley’s home, The Burrow. I just know the fountain will be a perfect Instagram spot. Whereas the scale model of the Burrow will explore the camera trickery used when filming the external scenes of the family home.
These are sure to be fantastic additions to the studio tour! With plenty of filmmaking secrets to be revealed once again. The Greenhouse, fountain, and Burrow will be permanent additions to the studio tour. Whilst The Mandrakes and Magical Creatures feature will run from the 1st July until the 12th September 2022. I guess it’s time for another visit.
