Captain Christopher Pike gets his “Motion Picture” moment in the first clip from Paramount+’s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds beams onto Paramount+ screens in the United States next week. And fans the world over are already getting more animated than a Tribble at a Klingon banquet. And while the wait continues for an official UK release date, today’s reveal of the nostalgic opening titles has dialed our excitement to eleven. But if that isn’t enough to have you getting ready to run a diagnostic on the warp core; Paramount+ has shared a new clip from the series, and it reveals Captain Pike getting his iconic “Motion Picture” moment.
Much like James T. Kirk in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, the clip reveals the moment when Captain Pike first lays eyes on U.S.S Enterprise in drydock – refitted and ready to set off on her five-year mission. It’s a glorious sight. One that will have fans of The Original Series reliving the iconic moments of yesteryear, and rightly so. But don’t take my word for it.
