CHILDREN OF THE COMET
After a gripping series premiere, this week the crew of the Enterprise faces a race against time when a rogue comet threatens to wipe out an entire civilization. But with Captain Pike dealing with a group of zealots who want to derail the rescue attempt, will it all be in vain?
Here’s the full synopsis for the episode:
While on a survey mission, the U.S.S. Enterprise discovers a comet is going to strike an inhabited planet. They try to re-route the comet, only to find that an ancient alien relic buried on the comet’s icy surface is somehow stopping them. As the away team try to unlock the relic’s secrets, Pike and Number One deal with a group of zealots who want to prevent the U.S.S. Enterprise from interfering.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Rebecca Romjin as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Spock. Joining the crew for their five-year mission are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga and Bruce Horak as Hemmer.
New episodes of Strange New Worlds premiere weekly on Thursdays only on Paramount+. The series will debut in the UK when the streamer launches on June 22, 2022.
