The apprentice returns…again! The hotly-anticipated Star Wars: Ahsoka series has officially started shooting!
It’s officially May, and with Star Wars Celebration just a few short weeks away; the power of the Force is in full flow. Not only did we get a brand new trailer and poster for Obi-Wan Kenobi on Star Wars Day, but now we are hearing that Rosario Dawson’s Star Wars: Ahsoka series has officially begun filming.
The official Star Wars social media channels confirmed the news with a simple image of the director’s chair. And hanging from one of its legs is the unmistakable hat of the series writer and executive producer Dave Filoni. Check it out below:

THE SERIES
As is always the case, Lucasfilm is keeping its cards pretty close to the chest when it comes to the series. Which shouldn’t come as any real surprise. The studio operates in complete secrecy with all its projects. And with a project as closely scrutinized as Ahsoka, the eyes of the world are watching for any slip of the iron curtain. But given her role in The Mandalorian, presumably, Ahsoka will continue the search for Ezra Bridger. And the key to finding him rests in the hands of the infamous Imperial strategist Grand Admiral Thrawn. Both Thrawn and Ezra were last seen being dragged through hyperspace by the Purrgil and deposited somewhere in the unknown regions of space. But after interrogating Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth, perhaps Ahsoka has a new lead to follow. One that will bring her face-to-face with Thrawn himself!
Exciting times ahead in the galaxy far, far away. And with Hayden Christensen attached to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader; Ahsoka just shot to the top of every fan’s watchlist.

CAST
As of press time, Star Wars: Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, Ray Stevenson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ivanna Sakhno, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo. But expect more additions to the cast to be confirmed soon now that filming is officially underway. So check back regularly. You’ll never miss a thing with Future of the Force.
