Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman are rocking some seriously cool new armor in Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love And Thunder
After being dragged through the Multiverse with Doctor Strange, Marvel fans are already looking ahead to Thor: Love And Thunder. Taika Waititi’s hotly-anticipated sequel is zooming along the Bifröst ahead of its release this July. And although the recent trailer and poster releases may have tickled our tastebuds, we still haven’t had a proper look at Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor armor in all its glory. But thanks to Empire magazine, all that is about to change.
The outlet has dropped a brand new still that not only reveals Chris Hemsworth’s vibrant new armor; but Natalie Portman’s stunning new attire too. And boy do they look like a match made in heaven. Check out the reveal below:
JANE RETURNS!
Natalie Portman’s return as Jane Foster is definitely something to celebrate. Especially after she was omitted from proceedings in the previous installment. But what is the catalyst for her sudden transformation into The Mighty Thor I hear you ask? If you delve into Jason Aaron’s 2015 comic book run, the tragic explanation is there for all to see, which, if Taika Waititi decides to follow the source material will have fans crying their eyes out in droves. And the director chimed in on Thor’s reaction to her popping back into his life…armor and all!
“You don’t want Natalie coming back and playing that same character who’s walking around with science equipment. You know, while Thor’s flying around, she’s left on Earth, tapping her foot going, ‘When’s he going to be back?’ That’s boring. You want her to be part of the adventure.”
HAMMER TIME!
Of course, Jane’s return will have a major impact on the MCU. Especially as she is wielding the reforged Mjolnir. But perhaps the biggest impact of all will be on Hemsworth’s Thor. Especially when his new direction as a pacifist brings him face to face with Jane’s new God of Thunder. By all accounts, it’s been 8 years since the duo parted, and her return is sure to ruffle a feather or two. But will Thor be able to accept another God of Thunder in his life? That remains to be seen. But it’s all the more reason to book your tickets as soon as they become available!
Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, and Christian Bale. The film will also see the return of the Guardians of the Galaxy including Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, and Vin Diesel.
The film will blast into UK cinemas on July 8, 2022, released by Marvel Studios.
