Daniel Craig’s super sleuth will solve another juicy mystery in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out sequel GLASS ONION
After what has seemed like an eternity, Netflix has shared a title treatment for the upcoming Knives Out sequel titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. The hotly anticipated new sequel serves as the next installment of Benoit Blanc’s big-screen mysteries and promises to deliver a worthy follow-up to Johnson’s genre-resurrecting film. The sequel boasts another all-star cast and finds Daniel Craig’s sleuth in Greece and hot on the heels of another suspect. Check out the reveal below:
THE LOGLINE
In the follow-up to Rian Johnson’s KNIVES OUT, Detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects.
Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Glass Onion stars the returning Daniel Craig as Detective Benoit Blanc. Craig will be joined in the sequel by Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline with Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.
MYSTERY
This is wonderful news. Knives Out was a truly refreshing take on the murder mystery genre. And it delivered an all-new detective to rival Hercule Poirot and Sherlock Holmes. And the result was a recipe for success. But can Rian Johnson capture lightning in a bottle and deliver a sequel worthy of his previous efforts? That remains to be seen. But with another sensational cast and Daniel Craig back in form, Glass Onion has everything going for it. And I cannot wait to get my first look.
