She-Hulk Attorney At Law Episode 1x06 Review

She-Hulk delivers another funny and entertaining episode. This is the series we need right now.”

It is Thursday so this means it is time for a new episode of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.

Last week ended with the big tease of Daredevil. Everyone thought today’s episode would mark his big return. Charlie Cox only played Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he didn’t suit up as Daredevil. But, in true She-Hulk fashion, today’s episode does not feature him. Instead, we get a wedding. And just like, Jennifer says to the audience –  weddings come at an unwanted time. This is a smart move. Firstly because it keeps the surprise as to when Daredevil will appear. Secondly, let’s not forget that this series is about She-Hulk. Cameos are there to spice things up like in the comics and link everything together. Though, on its own, the series is still pretty great.

This Wedding is quite fun. We stay in the sitcom vibe. We previously saw how Jennifer was treated by her family considering her new life. And now, we get to see how she is treated by her friends (other than Nikki). I love that this series explores the different sides of being a superhero. It is not all about fighting and saving the world. There is also their personal life. It is the ideal subject to explore a sitcom.

As expected, the wedding does not go according to plan. In fact, Titania is here to stir some troubles. It is the character we love to hate. I sure hope we will see her again before the end of the season, we need more fights between her and She-Hulk.

DIVORCE SETTLEMENT

Furthermore, what better storyline to have with a wedding than a divorce settlement? This is so perfect. For this storyline, we follow Mallory and Nikki who work for a peculiar client. Like I said last week, it is great to see storylines with women working together. We need more of this. She-Hulk is all about women’s empowerment. It is something great to celebrate. This divorce storyline is also quite funny especially how this settlement turns out for the client.

Once again, this episode does not feature a mid-credits scene. Instead, we get another tease for what is coming in the next episodes. It is not about Daredevil but something quite intriguing. Actually, it gives us an idea of what the stakes are going to be for the final episodes.
