“She-Hulk makes Thursdays better. It is another great and funny episode!”
It is Thursday so this means it is time for our weekly dose of Marvel content! We are already halfway through the season with only four episodes left after this one. But, this still leaves us with a full month of She-Hulk episodes.
SHE-HULK VS TITANIA

Last week‘s episode ended with Jennifer learning that Titania had trademarked the term She-Hulk. Which was a problem for Jennifer as it is her superhero name. So this week’s episode is about the trial between Titania and Jennifer for the use of She-Hulk. This marks the return of Jameela Jamil who is excellent in her role as a superpowered social influencer. Titania is this annoying character that we love to hate. Obviously, this type of character is a great source of comedy because of how she behaves and what she does.
Furthermore, Renée Elise Goldsberry who plays Mallory Book once again appears in this episode. She is the lawyer representing Jennifer. The two have a pretty good dynamic. This series does a wonderful job of showcasing women working together and supporting each other. We surely need to see that more often. I love their scene at the bar where they talk about how men treat She-Hulk and more generally women. With each episode, this series addresses misogyny and sexism in various ways. The MCU is a reflection of our society. So, it is important to talk about all these issues. More and more, Marvel Studios really do its best when it comes to representation. People seeing themselves represented on screen is so meaningful. It is always better when everyone can find a character they identify with and with whom they share the same struggles.
SUPERHERO COSTUME

I liked when episode 3 featured more of Pug, one of Jennifer’s co-workers. And this episode brings him back. This time, he is paired up with Nikki. In fact, it turns out to be an awesome duo. I just love their interactions, they are really funny. Just like the previous episodes, you have two storylines that connect at the end. The one with the new iconic duo is about finding a superhero costume designer. It is quite interesting because apart from Iron Man who builds his own suit, where do other superheroes get their costumes? We do have an answer here. It actually makes sense that in a universe filled with superheroes, there is a costume designer just for them.
This is the first episode without a post-credits scene. Instead, we have a big tease of what to expect next during the final scene of the episode. I think next week is going to be really special!
