Will we see multiple variants of Kang The Conqueror in Marvel’s Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania? Annlyel explores the possibilities!

We’re only a month away from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The opening installment of the MCU’s Phase 5, and Jonathan Majors’ film debut as Kang the Conqueror. Obviously, there’s a lot to be excited about in this movie.

It’s our first time seeing Ant-Man again after his heroic endeavors in Avengers: Endgame. We get to learn more about Janet van Dyne’s time while she was in the Quantum Realm. But of course, the main thing everyone’s pumped about is seeing Kang get brought to life.

KANG THE CONQUEROR

He’s already left his mark with his dazzlingly comic-accurate outfit. In the brief moments of the trailer, we get to see him use his powerful abilities and that already-iconic fight between him and Ant-Man.  As someone who is not an avid comic book reader, I can’t say I know much about Kang and his storylines in the comics. But I do know this, there are multiple versions of Kang the Conqueror.

The trailer has already shown us multiple versions of Ant-Man. What’s to say we won’t see multiple Kangs in this movie as well?

VARIANTS

In a recent interview with Empire magazine, Kevin Feige revealed that Kang is not only taking on our favorite heroes but that he’s simultaneously at war with his variants throughout the multiverse. The trailer shows us a massive action sequence that will surely happen toward the end of the film. Are we certain this sequence will feature only one Kang? Or could it potentially feature multiple variants of the iconic antagonist trying to take over the Quantum Realm and thus the world?

While I’m not confident that this will happen, it’s certainly an interesting concept. What is certain, however, is that we will be getting yet another variant in Loki Season 2. How prominent a role he will play in the series is yet to be seen. But it is very exciting knowing that Majors is going to have plenty of opportunities to make this character shine in so many delightful facets.

Marvel’s Ant-Man And The Wasp Quantumania enlarges in theatres on February 17.
