Holy cancellation, Batman! After four epic seasons, DC’s Titans and Doom Patrol have been cancelled at HBO Max
Sad news has emerged from the hallways of HBO Max. After four thrilling seasons of DC awesomeness, both Titans and Doom Patrol have been cancelled at HBO Max. Both series are halfway through their fourth season run, however, the streamer has now put them out to pasture. According to reports, the showrunners on both series were aware of the potential cancellation and structured the final episodes accordingly. Meaning that both series will culminate with suitably epic finales.
But this is another body blow to the long-suffering DC fans who are eagerly awaiting James Gunn and Peter Safran’s studio mega shake-up. It is worth noting that neither Gun nor Safran is the driving force behind the cancellation. The reason cited for termination is the change in management at Warner Bros. Discovery. But either way, DC fans are losing another facet of what was a thoroughly enjoyable DC Television universe.

“While these will be the final seasons of Titans and Doom Patrol, we are very proud of these series and excited for fans to see their climactic endings,” an HBO Max spokesperson said. “We are grateful to Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television for making such thrilling, action-packed, heartfelt series. We thank Titans showrunner Greg Walker, executive producers Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns, Richard Hatem, and the team at Weed Road Pictures. For Doom Patrol, we celebrate showrunner Jeremy Carver and executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns, Chris Dingess and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson. For four seasons, fans have fallen in love with the Titans and Doom Patrol, investing in their trials and tribulations, and in their legendary battles saving the world time and time again.”

Titans is produced by Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and is based on the characters from DC. Greg Walker is the showrunner and serves as executive producer alongside Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Richard Hatem.
Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser, Matt Bomer, Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Joivan Wade, Michelle Gomez, Skye Roberts, Riley Shanahan, and Matthew Zuk.
