The latest character poster from Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 reunites us with Gungi – the Padawan Jedi Wookiee from The Clone Wars
The second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch is well underway on Disney+. And so far the series has been a high-octane rollercoaster ride of Star Wars awesomeness. Ordinarily, new episodes alone would be enough to appease our insatiable appetite. But thankfully, Lucasfilm is upping the ante with another batch of glorious character posters for us to feast upon. So far, Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, Echo, Crosshair, Omega, Cid, Commander Cody, TAY-O, and Phee Genoa have been rewarded with their own individual posters. But this week, we are reunited with an old friend. A young Jedi Padawan from The Clone Wars. The lightsaber-wielding Wookiee warrior Gungi!
After the fall of the Jedi Order and the implementation of Order 66, Gungi’s fate was unknown. The young Wookiee warrior was last seen during the events of The Clone Wars fighting alongside Ahsoka Tano. But with her dispatched to Mandalore to liberate the capital from under Darth Maul’s rule, Gungi was stationed at the Jedi Temple when the purge began. How he survived remains to be seen. But thankfully, he survived long enough to come into contact with Omega and The Bad Batch, who were more than willing to return him to Kashyyyk. After a typical run-in with the Empire, of course!
