The creative legend behind Iron Man and The Mandalorian is awarded a star on the Hollywood walk of Fame. Jon Favreau walks a different path to success!
After unleashing his Star Wars brainchild on the world, Jon Favreau has been honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The legendary creative mind behind The Mandalorian and Iron Man was awarded his illustrious star in recognition of his contributions to television. And rightly so. Favreau has been on hand to oversee so many of the movies and TV shows we love. And the current slate of pop culture awesomeness would look far less extravagant if not for his tireless work.
Thankfully, our pals over at Disney+ were on hand to cover the event and they have shared a cargo hold of wonderful images from the ceremony. And we are delighted to be sharing them with you. So read on for more details and explore our slideshow.

Disney+ is pleased to share photos from multi-hyphenate Jon Favreau’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony where a star in his honor was unveiled today. Guest speakers Robert Downey Jr. and Chef Roy Choi honored Favreau at the event, which celebrated his contributions to television.
ROBERT DOWNEY JR
Of course, no award ceremony for Favreau worth its salt would be complete without his close friend Robert Downey Jr. The Iron Man actor was on hand to offer his support and even delivered a typically humourous but heartfelt speech. And he was more than eager to reminisce about filming the original Iron Man with Kevin Feige.
“Sixteen years ago this week, Jon and I were in preproduction on what felt like a high-concept indie. We were fueled by this infectious yet unfounded confidence. I was beyond grateful for the power of second chances. Strangely, Kevin Feige trusted us, he and I trusted Jon, and for no good reason, Jon and Kevin trusted me. Iron Man was a second-tier superhero property that had no shot at affording Kevin Feige the opportunity to launch a cinematic universe because there was no such thing as a cinematic universe. I would never insinuate that it was me who made Jon a multi-hyphenate international sensation ’cause I have to leave something for his speech. Downey said.
“He has somehow bridged the gap between being a household name, still sometimes confused with that of a political speech writer, while maintaining a level of personal humility. The ride I’ve shared with him is too [great] to even imagine, and yet it’s only a small part of his larger storytelling journey that continues to leave us elevated, inspired, and connected. These tales are often explorations of his own struggles, losses, hopes, and dreams. I am so deeply impressed with this speech I’m giving you right now. It is checking all the boxes. I’m sure many of you will be reposting it ASAFP and rewinding back through Jon’s pending speech to view this introduction several times at minimum.”

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations from the entire team here at Future of the Force. Without Jon Favreau Iron Man would not have flown to the stratosphere, Din Djarin would not have met Grogu, and Boba Fett would most likely have never returned from the Sarlaac Pit. And now, we can all look forward to the new season of The Mandalorian with Favreau at the helm and guiding the series to even greater glory than even he could possibly imagine.
This is the way. Thank you, Jon Favreau.
