THE OFFICIAL CHART
This week sees the chart get a major shakeup as we lose four titles and gain four more. It is a case of saying goodbye to The Menu, Groundhog Day, The Batman, and Halloween Ends. And it is also a case of welcoming a brand new number-one title. What could it be? Get ready to start singing as we find out.
MATILDA THE MUSICAL SINGS AND DANCES HER WAY TO THE TOP SPOT!
Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical dances and sings its way to a Number 1 debut on the UK’s Official Film Chart. The brand-new film adaptation of Tim Minchin’s Tony and Olivier award-winning musical – itself based on Roald Dahl’s much-loved book – soars straight to the top of the charts on digital downloads only, outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined. Newcomer Alisha Weir stars as Matilda Wormwood, an incredibly talented little girl with mysterious powers who finds the courage to stand up to troublesome headteacher Miss Trunchbull (Emma Thompson) and her dreadful parents, with a little help from her friends and inspirational teacher Miss Honey (Lashana Lynch).

BLACK ADAM HOLDS FIRM AT NUMBER TWO!
Black Adam holds on to its Number 2 place for another week.

MAVERICK FLIES UP A PLACE
Top Gun: Maverick rebounds one place to Number 3.

WHITNEY WANTS TO DANCE WITH SOMEBODY AT NUMBER FOUR!
Our second brand new entry of the week comes from Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance With Somebody which debuts at Number 4. Starring Naomi Ackie as Whitney, the film follows the late musical legend’s journey from obscurity to musical superstardom, through the emotional highs and lows she faced during her life.

THE BANSHEES TAKE A BATTERING!
At Number 5 is last week’s Number 1, multi-Oscar nominated dark comedy The Banshees of Inisherin.

THE DINOS HOLD OUT AGAIN!
The former chart-topper, Jurassic World: Dominion stays firmly at Number 6.

THE WOMAN KING LOSES HER CHART BATTLE!
The historical drama The Woman King, starring Viola Davis, a new entry last week, drops four places to Number 7.

ELVIS ROCKS DOWN THE CHART!
The musical biopic Elvis falls three places to number eight.

BULLET TRAIN SPEEDS IN AGAIN!
The Brad Pitt action comedy Bullet Train speeds up five places to number nine.

THE FANTASTIC BEASTS RETURN AGAIN!
Finally, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore rises seven places to take the tenth and final spot.
