Seth Rogen’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem unveils its all-star cast including Paul Rudd, Jackie Chan, and John Cena!
Cowabunga! The cast list for Seth Rogen’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem has been announced. And as expected it’s packed to the brim with big names. The upcoming computer-generated animated feature is a bold franchise for Rogen to tackle. But with its eye-popping cast, he’s pulling out all the stops to deliver a movie fans can be proud of.
Aside from the heroes in a half shell, Rogen has added some major comedians, a pro-wrestler, and a karate movie icon. And if that isn’t enough to have you climbing into the NYC sewers, the villain of The Mandalorian is also popping in to add some much-needed menace.
THE CAST
At the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Rogen announced that Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, and Brady Noon had signed on to voice the heroes in a half-shell. But the announcement of the supporting cast really lit up the room. Rogen confirmed that he and WWE icon John Cena will play Bebop and Rocksteady. The Shredder’s legendary goons. And rounding out the cast are Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, and Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman. Ice Cube stars as Superfly, Jackie Chan will voice Splinter, Hannibal Buress voices Genghis Frog, and Maya Rudolph plays Cynthia Utrom.
And if that isn’t enough to have you polishing your ninja stars, Hollywood royalty Paul Rudd is confirmed to be voicing Mondo Gecko. And Ayo Edebiri stars as April O’Neil.

SYNOPSIS
And if that isn’t enough, the project’s official synopsis has also been revealed. And it promises to be one of the most ambitious Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adventures to date. Check it out.
“After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.”
RELEASE
This cast list is phenomenal. The casting of Jackie Chan is a masterstroke. And with the star power of Paul Rudd thrown into the mix, the movie is packed to the brim with world-class talent. And of course, John Cena is returning to the franchise after voicing a character in the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. When coupled with the unforgettable voice of Rogen himself, both Bebop and Rocksteady promise to be a double act to remember.
It is worth noting that The Shredder is absent from the cast list. Which comes as a surprise. The iconic villain has been the main antagonist for the lean green fighting machines for well over three decades. So either Rogen has changed the formula and opted to bring in a new villain, or Shredder will be the last big name to join the cast. Either way, Mutagen Mayhem has all the tools to craft something truly special. But can Rogen stick the landing? We’ll be one of the first in line to see it.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem kicks its way into theaters on August 4th.
