Crunchyroll announces the English dub voice cast for Suzume.
After its tremendous success at the Japanese box office, the international release of Suzume is getting closer and closer. Indeed, the film releases on April 14 in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Today, Crunchyroll announced that tickets were now on sale. So make sure to book yours as soon as you can. Moreover, they also revealed the English dub voice cast for fans who prefer watching Anime this way. The cast is led by Nichole Sakura who voices the title character, Suzume Iwato.
“I am so proud to be part of Makoto Shinkai’s visually gorgeous and deeply moving film,” said Sakura. “It’s a story set in modern times that beautifully weaves in elements of Japanese folklore and encompasses timeless themes of love and courage. Suzume herself is a young woman who can be vulnerable, silly, and childlike at times, but grows through discovering her own capacity to face the seemingly insurmountable. She’s a female character I couldn’t be more proud to inhabit, and I hope everyone loves the film as much as I do.”
Other roles cast include:
- Josh Keaton as Souta
- Jennifer Sun Bell as Tamaki
- Joe Zieja as Serizawa
- Rosalie Chang as Chika
- Amanda C. Miller as Rumi
- Mela Lee as Miki
- Cam Clarke as Munakata
Bill Millsap is the English voice director.
This dub version will debut on the same day as the original subtitled version.
