
From the Rise Of The Pink Ladies, a return to La Brea, more new Picard, and a horror movie to Smile about, April has tasty treats on Paramount+
It is almost April. The Easter Bunny is due with mountains of chocolate eggs. And Paramount+ is serving us up with some deliciously tasty treats this month. From continuing series to brand new series fare, and even the premiere of the horror movie Smile, it is all here at the touch of a button in April. So, grab your Easter Eggs, get yourself a coffee and a comfy chair, unplug the phone, and let’s see what delights are in store.
GREASE: RISE OF THE PINK LADIES

The first two episodes drop on April 7th. There are ten episodes of 60 minutes each. The reimagining of the global smash hit movie with familiar as well as new characters. It’s still the 1950s, a world that rocks with big musical numbers from the period combined with new original songs as well. It’s the peer pressures of high school, the horrors of puberty, and the rollercoaster of life in middle America with a modern sensibility that will bring it to life for today’s musical lovers.
LA BREA SEASON 2B

The box set drops on April 27th. There are 7 episodes of 60 minutes each. Season 2 of La Brea continues the epic, time-traveling adventure that began when a massive sinkhole opened in Los Angeles, plunging people into a mysterious primeval land where they must unite for survival. This season, the Harris family-Gavin and Eve and their kids Izzy and Josh-still find themselves separated across parallel worlds.
In 10,000 BC, Eve is determined to find a way to reunite with Josh, who accidentally went through a portal to the year 1988. But Unbeknownst to Eve, Gavin and Izzy have traveled from the modern world to prehistoric Seattle and are now embarking on a dangerous journey to L.A. so they can get their family back together.
SMILE

The movie drops on April 14th. After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality. (Read our review here).
STAR TREK: PICARD

The full box set is available from April 21st. There are three seasons comprising of ten episodes per season which run for 60 minutes each. Star Trek: Picard features Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and follows this iconic character into the next chapter of his life.
FREED TO KILL
The box set drops on April 11th. There are 5 episodes that run for 60 minutes each. 1992, in Waco, Texas, U.S. Marshal Parnell McNamara and U.S. District Attorney Bill Johnston are investigating the mysterious abduction and murder of Melissa Northrup, a convenience store clerk on a lonely stretch of Interstate 35, when investigators discover a 1985 tan Thunderbird near the crime scene registered to a Kenneth Allen McDuff…a serial killer who was put on death row in the 60s.
THE CONSERVATION GAME
The movie drops on April 18th. Set against the backdrop of a heated national debate on captive big cats in America, The Conservation Game follows the story of Tim Harrison, a retired cop who makes a bombshell discovery while undercover at an exotic animal auction. He starts to suspect that America’s top television celebrity conservationists may be secretly connected to the exotic pet trade. What follows is a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, filled with lies, deception, and coverups.
CONTINUED ICONIC SERIES
Some of the series that have already premiered on Paramount+ will continue to drop episodes during April. Yellowjackets Season 2 will continue with episodes 3-5 with all episodes becoming available on May 26th. Rabbit Hole will see episodes 3-6 pop up with all episodes becoming available on May 8th. Ex On The Beach Couples will drop episodes 7-10 with all episodes becoming available on May 10th. School Spirits will see episodes 6-8 spook up online with all episodes ready to haunt you on April 14th. And The Challenge World Championships will see episodes 6-9 drop with all episodes becoming available on May 18th.
