“STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie” will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on May 12, 2023.

If you say the name Michael J. Fox to people, they will say “Back To The Future”, “Spin City”, or even “The Secret Of My Success” or “Teen Wolf”. And they’d be right. The Canadian actor was one of the most loved in the mid-1980s and 1990s. That was until he revealed he was retiring due to Parkinson’s Disease. The dreadful condition robbed us of the actor’s remarkable performances. However, the actor has led the way in researching the disease over the past twenty years or so.

Apple TV+ will be premiering a documentary film about the actor on May 12th. The film, STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie will follow the actor by recounting his extraordinary story in Fox’s own words. Directed by Academy Award winner Davis Guggenheim, the film appears to be an emotional journey about the highs and lows through the years. A new trailer has been released today for the documentary.

Today Apple Original Films unveiled the trailer for the highly anticipated film, “STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie” starring Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan, directed by Academy Award-winner, Davis Guggenheim.

The film, which incorporates documentary, archival and scripted elements, recounts Fox’s extraordinary story in his own words — the improbable tale of an undersized kid from a Canadian army base who rose to the heights of stardom in 1980s Hollywood. The account of Fox’s public life, full of nostalgic thrills and cinematic gloss, unspools alongside his never-before-seen private journey, including the years that followed his diagnosis, at twenty-nine, with Parkinson’s disease. Intimate and honest, and produced with unprecedented access to Fox and his family, the film chronicles Fox’s personal and professional triumphs and travails and explores what happens when an incurable optimist confronts an incurable disease. With a mix of adventure and romance, comedy and drama, watching the film feels like… well, like a Michael J. Fox movie.
