Paramount Plus has beamed down some glorious new character posters for the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
Open hailing frequencies because the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise is back. In honor of First Contact Day, Paramount+ has released some glorious new character posters from the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. And as expected they feature the intrepid crew of the Enterprise. Every character from Captain Pike to Nurse Chapel is beaming down to join the landing party. Although, sadly, there isn’t room on the transporter pad for James T. Kirk or Pelia this time out.
SEASON 2
The poster reveal follows last week’s announcement that the hotly anticipated 10-episode second season will be premiering on the streamer on June 15. The premiere will drop in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The rest of the 10-episode season will beam down to Paramount+ each following Thursday. The series will also stream on SkyShowtime in the Nordics, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and Central and Eastern Europe. But enough of the logistics. Let’s enjoy those all-important new posters.
Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike
Rebecca Romijn as Una “Number One” Chin-Riley
Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock
Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel
Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh
Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura
Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga
Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas
PROMOTION
These posters are glorious. However, it is worth noting that Uhura’s rank insignia has now changed to reflect her decision to stay aboard the Enterprise as an ensign. The rest of the crew are as they should be and presented in their pristine Starfleet uniforms. However, we can only hope that a new poster featuring Paul Wesley’s James T. Kirk will be beaming down to join the crew in the near future. The set doesn’t feel complete without the unswervable franchise legend. But until then, these glorious posters are more than enough to appease the insatiable appetite of a Klingon or two!
