Colin Farrell returns as Oswald Cobblepot in the MAX mini-series The Penguin in 2024.
MAX (The new name for HBO Max) has started to release special trailers of their upcoming content. After debuting a teaser for Gremlins: Secrets Of The Mogwai, it is the turn of the mini-series The Penguin. Colin Farrell returns once again as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot / The Penguin in a show that is set just after the events of The Batman.
Also featured in the series is Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni, and Michael Zegen as Alberto Falcone, Sofia’s brother. The series will consist of eight episodes and will be released in 2024. The shoot for the show will end in July.
THE PREMISE
Taking place one week following the events of The Batman, the series explores the rise to power of Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot / Penguin in Gotham City’s criminal underworld.
