The search for fortune and glory continues in UK cinemas two days earlier than across the pond. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is coming!
Rejoice U.K. Indy fans because Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is swinging into cinemas two days early. While our friends across the pond will have to wait until June 30, fans living in the U.K. and Ireland will be continuing the search for fortune and glory on June 28. The news comes fresh off the back of the confirmation that the fifth installment in the beloved franchise will be its longest. In fact, James Mangold’s entry clocks in at a whopping two hours and twenty-two minutes. Meaning that Indy will sail off into the sunset in style!

KATHLEEN KENNEDY
“I will say the early movies were shorter, they were under 2 [hours] 15 [minutes], and we talked about that quite a bit,” Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy recently told Collider. “So, now I see why maybe they’re interested in this. But as you know with runtime it’s all about how you feel, right? So if you’re sitting in a movie and it feels long, you’re like, ‘Uh…’ We’re not dealing with a long movie.”
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny finds Harrison Ford donning the Fedora one last time alongside franchise debutant Pheobe Waller-Bridge. Also attached to appear are Mads Mikkelsen, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, and Boyd Holbrook. Legendary composer John Williams returns to score the final adventure with Steven Spielberg serving as a hands-on producer. A new trailer for the movie premiered at Star Wars Celebration just a few weeks back and it was accompanied by eight minutes of chase footage which was breathtaking to watch. Similar in tone to Raiders of the Lost Ark, the footage showcased a chaotic tuk-tuk chase through some busy streets. And in true Indy fashion, the villains are no match for the obtainer of rare antiquities. But don’t take my word for it. Check out the recently released trailer below.
