
Disney Plus will continue its tradition of Star Wars parodies with a new Rogue One-themed short from The Simpsons
The team at Disney Plus has announced a continuation of its hilarious Star Wars parodies from The Simpsons. Just like in previous years, May 4th will see the debut of Maggie Simpson in ‘Rogue Not Quite One’ an all-new animated short. In the fun quick-fire adventure, Homer loses sight of Maggie who uses Grogu’s hover pram for an epic adventure that will take her across the galaxy. Facing down a squadron of Imperial TIE fighters, Maggie brings the battle to Springfield in what will be the mother of all showdowns! But don’t take my word for it. SYNOPSIS
Today, Disney+ announced “Maggie Simpson in ‘Rogue Not Quite One,’” a new short from “The Simpsons,”’ will launch May the 4th in celebration of Star Wars Day. In the upcoming short, Homer loses track of Maggie who hops in Grogu’s hovering pram for a hyperspace-hopping adventure across the galaxy. Facing a squadron of Imperial TIE fighters, Maggie brings the battle to Springfield in this epic short celebrating all things Star Wars.
“Maggie Simpson in ‘Rogue Not Quite One’” is the latest in a collection of shorts from “The Simpsons” created exclusively for Disney+. The previously released shorts “The Simpsons meet the Bocellis in ‘Feliz Navidad,’” “Welcome to the Club,” “When Billie Met Lisa” (Emmy® nominated), “Maggie Simpson in ‘The Force Awakens from Its Nap’” (Emmy® nominated), “The Good, The Bart, and The Loki” and “The Simpsons in Plusaversary” are currently available on Disney+. These animated shorts are always a blast. And there is no better way to celebrate the saga than with a classic Simpsons parody. After all, 2021 delivered the ultimate parody of Episode 7 with Maggie Simpson in The Force Awakens From Its Nap. A tale that saw Maggie go on a quest to reclaim her lost pacifier! So, we can only wait with excited anticipation to see what the latest installment has in store for us.
