MTV today announced global producer and DJ sensation Alesso as its co-headliner for Isle of MTV Malta 2023, with Tom Grennan and Mimi Webb also set to take to the iconic Il-Fosos Square stage on 18th July. A global maverick in the dance world, Swedish hitmaker producer and DJ Alesso is responsible for anthems such as “Heroes (we could be)” with Tove Lo, “Words” with Zara Larsson, “When I’m Gone” with Katy Perry, “Under Control”, “Let Me Go” with Hailee Steinfeld and Florida Georgia Line and “If I Lose Myself” with OneRepublic. Known for his eclectic genre-transcending collaborations, electrifying live shows, and iconic dance floor fillers, Alesso is set to perform at major festivals and events around the globe this summer.
TOM GRENNAN
After first gaining attention for his Chase & Status collaboration on “All Goes Wrong”, Tom Grennan now has three Top 10 singles – two Platinum-selling – a Number One album, and over one billion streams under his belt. Tom’s debut album featured hit singles “Found What I’ve Been Looking For” and “Something Better” and was quickly followed by smash-hit second album single “Little Bit of Love”.
MIMI WEBB
The loudest ones light up the room the brightest, and nothing truer could be said of Mimi Webb. In just two years the breakout artist has surpassed 1 billion global streams, and amassed an international following with multiple chart-topping tracks including “House on Fire,” “Good Without” and “Red Flags”. Mimi released her critically acclaimed debut album Amelia on March 3, 2023, which debuted at #4 on the UK albums chart. Mimi has toured across the world and will continue her run of leading festival dates with an appearance at Isle of MTV.
Alesso, Tom Grennan, and Mimi Webb join the previously announced, GRAMMY®-nominated band OneRepublic on this year’s lineup.

THE HISTORY OF THE FESTIVAL
Now in its 15th year, Europe’s biggest free summer festival, in partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority, returns to the iconic Il-Fosos Square on July 18th. Over its 14 editions, Isle of MTV Malta has brought tens of thousands of music fans to the square every year to enjoy show-stopping performances from the world’s biggest stars, including Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, David Guetta, and Martin Garrix.
The event will be broadcast on MTV internationally on 15th September 2023 in more than 150 countries, showcasing the festival and Malta to millions of music fans around the world. The festival will be followed by Isle of MTV Malta Music Week, a series of club nights and parties across the hottest venues on the island, from July 18th – 23rd July.
