Look out Young Jedi Adventures fans, Disney Plus is releasing six new episodes on August 2nd with more coming later in the year!
It’s been a minute since we caught up with Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. After premiering at Star Wars Celebration and launching on Disney Plus on May 4th, the series has been on hiatus. The fun new series launched with seven thrilling episodes and followed a group of Younglings as they navigated their way through the galaxy and learned the ways of the Force. And of course, Jedi Master Yoda was on hand to guide them through their perilous journey as they crossed paths with new friends, aliens, and pirates!
And today, we have received word that the show is returning with another six fun-filled episodes on August 2nd. But if that isn’t enough to have you reaching for your lightsaber; our pals at Disney Plus have confirmed that more episodes will be dropping later in the year. What’s more, in total, season one of the hit show will enjoy a stellar 25-episode run. And they will be littered with droves of cool new characters! But don’t take my word for it. Read on for the full details.

NEW ADVENTURES
Today, Disney+ and Lucasfilm announced that “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” Season 1 continues with six all-new episodes. The new episodes will debut on Disney+ beginning August 2, 2023, with more episodes to come later this year. In total, “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” Season 1 will be a 25-episode run.
Set during The High Republic era, the animated series follows Jedi Younglings as they study the ways of the Force and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi. The series was recently nominated for a 2023 Television Critics Association Award and was awarded a Common Sense Seal from Common Sense Media, which acknowledges outstanding media that families can enjoy together.
The first seven episodes from the series, which premiered May 4, saw the Younglings train with Master Yoda and Master Zia at the Jedi temple on Tenoo, meet pilot and fast friend Nash Durango, and clash with pirate Taborr Val Dorn. The six new episodes will follow the Younglings as they continue to hone their Force abilities and go on adventures across the galaxy.
“We’ve been thrilled to see a whole new generation fall in love with the Star Wars galaxy through ‘Young Jedi Adventures,’” says James Waugh, series executive producer and senior vice president, franchise content & strategy at Lucasfilm. “We hope to continue delighting younglings, Jedi padawans, and the fans of all ages who have declared themselves #NubsNation, with these new episodes.”
NEW TEASER
Reading about the new episodes is good. Watching is better. And Disney Plus added a fun new teaser for us to sink our teeth into. So hit play on the video below and get a taste of what awaits us in August.
We were lucky enough to attend the world premiere at Star Wars Celebration a few months ago and had an absolute blast. The show spreads a wonderfully wholesome message that will resonate with kids of all ages. All the while teaching them right from wrong, communication skills, tolerance, inclusivity, and even how to work collectively as a team. A positive message we call all benefit from. And of course, the guiding hand of Jedi Master Yoda is always a welcome addition to the fun!

RELEASE
By now it should be abundantly clear that we quickly fell in love with this series. And rightly so. The show is tons of fun to watch and oozes everything a Star Wars show should. Adventure, lightsabers, creatures, aliens, speeder chases, and more. And that coupled with a wholesome family message, delivers a series parents can be proud to share with their younglings.
