Following the tradition of giving us a shocking fourth episode, Secret Invasion ended with Talos being killed. It was one painful week of waiting but the penultimate episode is finally here!

With only one episode left, Nick Fury is done playing cat and mouse. Indeed, right from the start it gets serious with Rhodey. Fury is on the move to get his plan in action as Gravik makes some adjustments. Along the way we see an unexpected cameo. It’s not one that will make people cheer or be super happy about it. But, it’s a small cameo that adds a layer of connection to another MCU film.

Sonya Falsworth is also back and she is the MVP of this episode. Olivia Colman is a living legend. She is having a lot of fun playing this character. Sonya is a character who gets things done, she isn’t one to mess around with. In fact, she doesn’t hesitate to use her gun and when she does, it hurts. It’s the seriousness of her actions with her line delivery that makes her character standout. At the same time, she lightens the mood with what she says but she also brings gravitas. I appreciated seeing her following her own path before joining Fury again.

A GRIEVING DAUGHTER

Considering it happened at the end of the fourth episode and fourth episodes with Marvel are always a shocker I had a feeling this was it for Talos but there was still a bit of hope until this episode. Undoubtedly, this is a death that really hurts in the MCU. I really liked Talos and Ben Mendelsohn was great in the role. Even though, it didn’t last long the duo Fury/Talos was quite iconic, the two characters and actors had an amazing chemistry.

This episode gives a proper goodbye to Talos with a funeral, though an empty one because of the current situation. This allows his daughter G’iah to grieve and puts her back in the foreground. She still has an important role to play in the story. Priscilla and her share an awesome action scene in this episode. It’s not a long one but it’s really intense. I do hope they share the screen again in the final episode because they work well together.
