Dive into the new Star Wars master-apprentice legacy with the cast and filmmakers of Star Wars: Ahsoka
We are just days away from reuniting with Rosario Dawson in Star Wars: Ahsoka. And Lucasfilm is already pouring fuel into the hyperdrive engine. The studio has shared a fun new seven-minute featurette for the series. The behind-the-scenes video boasts the inclusion of Rosario Dawson, Dave Filoni, and Jon Favreau who are more than willing to talk us through the new series. As well as what we can expect to see when the show lands on Disney Plus on August 23rd. So, unleash the Force and hit play on the player below.
THE SERIES
Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
in addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, “Ahsoka” stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.
RELEASE
The series is unleashing the duo lightsabers on Disney Plus on August 23rd. The show will continue the plot threads left open in the finale of Star Wars: Rebels. Most notably the search for Ezra Bridger. Recently the studio shared the first character posters from the show. And as expected they are packed full of heroes and villains. Check them out here.
